frames of moves changes from distance?

Hi everybody, sorry if this was already asked but I cannot find it around. I've noticed that akira k+g (not the just frame) is 16 frames execution and -6 on block. But if you do it after a blocked qcb (2,1,4) + p, it's 18 frames and -4 on block (???)
Same strange behaviour for the simple kick.

Edit: oh ok I've understood. Some moves changes frames based on the distance. Man, thats quite hardcore to learn. Are there many moves like this? at the moment I've found only k+g, k, and 46p

    sorry for the noob question

Ok thank you Feck, I will study this, its a bit scary and hardcore but very interesting to know. For instance, the stun palm gives + 2 on block if done from max distance, which I really didn't knew until now (always thought +1)

I've never had much luck using it in real matches, seems like it might be useful in oki situations as you can clearly tell your opponent is blocking the attack late.

Makes [2][1][4][P] even deadlier than it normally is.

It does actually, FS seems to judge it according to what active the frame the move hits in. Jackys flipkick for example shows as exe 14 only at pointblank range, further than that it shows as 15.

I dont think that was the issue here though.

I mean, the real execution of a move doesnt change, but the move may show as having different execution in the ingame detailed info.

I think that the only difference is on a jab. It has 2 active frames, but even if the second frame lands, you don't have additional advantage. Therefore, the display might still read the execution as 11 or 12 frames, depending upon the speed of the jab.

I've noticed, probably a glitch, in detailed info in dojo. If you do any move right after entering dojo/resetting the position, not moving before it, the info shows that it has less exe (-1 frame) and gives more advantage (+1 frame). It also happens in other cases, but rarely. Maybe that's the case?
