Evade side chart

This is an evade side chart published in tougeki damashi Vol 7.
It gives advice on which side to evade against each character.

It could be a tally for half circulars that's all. Even the old Arcadia mags had advice on what way you should evade against a certain character.

Thing is it is hard to know which move someone is doing to begin with. So they are saying: "If you are going to evade, might as well go this side for most moves." Take Akira for example. I figure they say evade to his stomach because back side he gets 6P+kp, which they probably figure to be worse than eating 46p+k, since it gives Akira advantage for mixup, whether to go fake nitaku (only +4) or delayed throw or delayed attack (which can actually be the same move again to repeat the mixup).

 

Aoi: Other than /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, and full circs, Aoi has nothing else that covers her back. They don't even knock down, unlike /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif.

Brad: Stepping to his stomach beats one of his best anti-step moves (/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif). imo...

Jeffry: Stepping to his back is a dumb idea in most cases as you'll eat an 80 damage combo after /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif. It is better to be smacked by /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif.

Vanessa: Stepping to her back kills her big combo starters in both stances. Nothing knocks down in the other direction.
