Sega-AM2 has ignored Dural. Sure it's powerful, but it's moves are extended and beefed up versions of other people's moves. As a secret character, I think they should have done a lot better with it.
For one thing, there's no training mode. I think it's dumb to give someone a killer movelist, and then make you do every single other character's moves, and then guess modifications. They also should have included special, extra,EXTRA hard excercises.
They could have given it it's own style. I'm tired of playing a character with no consistency or style. Sega-AM2 could have picked a cool looking style and beef the moves, or they could have whipped up their own style like they did with Lau.
Dural could have been more customizable. It would be neat to be able to really customize your skater like they do on the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series. You could choose exactly what they look like, right down to the shape of the lips. Then there could be items you earn to go along with it.
They could make an Dural arcade. Once you beat the
W.M.A.C II with your primary characer and unlock Dural, there could be an all customised Durals. There would be ranking matches (keep in mind that the opponents would be super hard; your ranks would be much different than the normal system). The ranking system would probably be the old VF4 title system after Hero and Champion. The items you get would depend on how you customised Dural.
In short, a lot more could have been done with Dural than simply an extra nobody.

I find Dural to be a pretty nifty resource from time to time. She's got stuff that's so broken but still generally a part of the system that a weaker player can compete with someone stronger while learning a little about the game & enjoying a confidence boost. Certainly you don't want someone just picking up the game to rely on Dural to have fun, but thoroughly one sided sessions aren't perhaps the ideal means of getting someone digging the game. Dural v Dural battles can be hot too. Then there's taking turns with a buddy trying to best his Dural with your main & vice versa. Dural rocks yo!

ya Dural is cool but i wouldn't mind another secret boss/character with his own style , i see what he's saying. It'snot needed but it's cool and might attract more people to the game.

Dural can do the same combo than Jacky. You all must know that Jacky's basic combo where is somersault in the end. Computer usually uses that combo.
Best combo for [4][P]+[G] when you're playing with Dural:
    [1][K]+[G][9][K][9][K]+[G]
I'm not sure if it goes like this but it does over 100 damage!

i think the combo was [4][P]+[G] ~ [9][K]+[G][7][K][7][K] and i dont think it does 100 damage, maybe it does, not sure

Yeah, i thought that I wrote that kombo wrong but it causes very strong damage because your health bar goes half when your energy is 200. But if it don't cause 100 then it must cause about 90-100.

Your words do have merit; Dural is way fun in versus mode, especially with hyper mode on.

I did a combo that does 324 damage. To do this combo you have to have the one hit kill cheat on and have the dural cheat.Keep walking towards your opponent then [4][6][P] [4][P]+[G] [4][K] [7][K]+[G][9][K][9][K].

what the freaking hell? one hit kill cheat? if that made as much sense as i think, your opponent should die in ONE hit, and THAT DOESNT EXIST. and dural cheat?? WHAT???? what the heck are you talking about

Sorry but [4][6][P] cannot combine with a throw. If it isn't stagger or Dural's basic move. 324 damage is impossible to do.

Have you guys ever seen a person die in VF4 to like a [3][K]? When they die they just stand and then they bend down and lay down on the floor. In VF4 there are codes that allow you to use Dural in training mode and there is also a cheat that makes your opponent die in 1 hit. If you use the 1 hit kill cheat, [4][6][P] and your opponent will just stand there. Then while their wincing in pain, you can use [4][P]+[G] to float them and follow up with [4][K] [7][K]+[G][9][K][9][K]. But first of all, you have to set the opponent to counter and you must have 40 DP points with Dural.

I personally would have loved to see the Dural as a new character that was balanced with the others, but only good if played by someone who was good enough to unlock her in the first place. I think she should have her own style, be usable in all modes and be customizable. She would be a very difficult character to use, perhaps even more demanding than Akira, but absolutely devastating if you knew her.

I hope that they bring her back in VF5 as a regular character. Think about it...she is almost machine-like, isn't she? Then she doesn't learn. The other characters (like Akira and Aoi in their bios) learn and adapt, meaning that if they all progressed, you would have even matches against the Dural, who hadn't progressed since the last tournament.

I don't know if anyone else agrees with this, but I think that this is the way that AM2 should take the Dural next. I hope to see her return in VF5 (hopefully with some more character than a big silver chick). /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I dont think Akira is demanding character, I also tought so then when I wasn´t able to do his moves...But after learning them he´s much more easy to use in versus than many other, with a power like that. I guess that´s why I switched back to Aoi, my first character.

And about Dural, I think she´s good the way she is, but I think it would´ve been good to have command training and free training with her.

Unless this hasn´t changed in evo, Kages [6][2][3][P]+[K] is done [P][P][P][6][2][3][P], that´s how it was in vf4....
