    http://www.coinopexpress.com/products/pcbs/lindberg/Virtua_Fighter_5_kit_6700.html

    Unit price $3,980
It does not mention a card reader/control panel which is rather worrying. However kit includes Lindberg system, security plug, software, artwork, manual. Does not mention ver. C.

I wish more people would put up information on the arcade cabinets in seattle and san diego so we could know what this thing really has.

    Arcade cabinet confirmation from Supplier

    Hello,

I'm representing English speaking players from the website http://www.virtuafighter.com. We would like to know if the Virtua Fighter 5 kit you offer is Version C which is the current version in Japan. We would also like to know what specifically is included in the kit, such a card readers that were used in the Virtua Fighter 4 Final Tuned kit. Some of our players have made purchases from your website before (for Virtua Fighter 4 Final Tuned) and if the Virtua Fighter 5 kit is up to date, they will probably plan to purchase more if not ask local arcades to purchase the kit.

    Thank you,
    Daniel

    The Answer...

    Dear Daniel,

    Thank you for your email.

Yes, the Virtua Fighter 5 Kit we offer will be Japanese Version C and come with card reader, how many quantity you will be of interest?

I look forward to hear from you soon.

If I could convince an arcade owner out by me to get it, would you guys come to play?

Serious? you have a fantastic set up in your garage that, come October 30, will be VF5 Version C equipped. Even though the arcade kits will have card readers they won't be able to have your names, costumes, etc!

If you want that authentic VF arcade experience just charge $1.00 per play and break the joysticks!!

^Thanks GE, our arcades aren't that bad here in socal. Also, there is a huge advantage in an arcade being available. It means the whole slew of VF players here in socal who don't have a PS3 or Xbox 360 can now play the game at the arcade.

Gerald, I was thinking of asking the Arcade Infinity owner about this. I really miss the AI nights, that place had perfect location right in between LA/OC/SB/Riverside.

I don't think any other arcade will think of it either other than maybe super arcade in walnut. FFA and James Games definately aren't going to get it.

If I'm gonna go out by your place - I'd prefer to go to YOUR place. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif

I talk to Mr. AI every two weeks. Usually it's just to say hello and ask about the latest Guitar Freaks mix. Next time I'll mention the VF5 setup.

dan, yeah I'm definately speaking around the Canadian experience here. I used to be all for arcade play - the hours, the central locations (usually), the atmosphere but now I mostly care for the convenience.

I also just dig Gerald's set up. It is amazing.

I don't mind your view GD, I love Geralds set up too, in fact I wish he would adopt me so I could live in garage as cheap vietnamese/mexican labour lol lol lol lol.

However I can't just go to his house whenever I feel, with an arcade I can go whenever I feel. An arcade is also more open to everyone and advertises the game.

Talis: Thanks a bunch dude. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Thanks you guys! Personally I would rather play here too than venture out to an arcade and spend more money. Just thinking of ways to bring new players into the scene since VF is such a great game and I just wish more people would play.

Are these kits just the boards and control panels or the full machine. I know that price tag is hefty to not be the machine but the site does not seem to clarify.

Dude, I'm about 10 minutes down the street from Super Arcade. If anything happens there I want to hear about it. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
