Carolina Impact Battle 3 , Greensboro, NC

Carolina Impact Battle is back!!! This was originally a Soul Calibur only tournament, but we've added more games to the mix.

11:30 AM- 2:00 PM

Tournaments will begin at 3:00 PM (Give me an hour to make brackets)

If there are other tournaments requested, they will be done after a tourney is complete.

Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike (DC)
Capcom vs. SNK 2 (DC)
Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (DC)
Super Street Fighter II: Turbo (PS, if requested enough)
Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution (PS2, if requested enough)

Price:

Registration Fee: $5.00
Cost Per Tourney: $5.00 (10 for 1 tourney, 15 for 2, 20 for 3, etc.)

Rules:
All tournaments are double elimination.

3 out of 5 Rounds
2 out of 3 Matches
3 out of 5 Matches for Semi-Finals
4 out of 7 Matches for Finals

I would like to have a VF4E tournament. But I need to at least 8 people for it to happen. So if you think you can make it, please pre-register.

 

Next semester is much lighter than this one for me, so I think I can come. Only that I haven't touched the game in ages, and will probably not play unless I find people to play with. I don't like playing the CPU...

So yes, if enough people show up, I will go. I don't play any of the other games well enough to enter, so it will be just Evo for me (and even in that I will probably get my ass handed in to me, but it would still be fun).

Lol. I only know of one person in my immediate area who plays, and we haven't played since... June I think. In fact, since the Japanese Evo came out (which is what I got), we only met and played for 2 or 3 times!! Can you believe that? We both want to play but can't find time really with all the college work. When we played we played for 5 hours straight though, and it's fun /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif. ( I think the last time I played human opponents was back in August when I went back home).

So are you going? Maybe we need to set-up something around/after Christmass holiday too; just a gathering where we get to play Evo, and only Evo, with no worries.

 

Yeah, I plan to go to the tourney. An Evo gathering would be cool too. I hope to get a decent stick soon so I can lose this crappy pad. And oh yeah, I need to practice. A lot. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

How do I confirm this shit? I'll definately go to this one, the 3 main games i play will be there...this happens like...one a year on the East Coast.

Quick Qs

A few quick questions:
1) The rules at the top state that it is 3 out of 5 rounds, is that for every game? Including the 2d games?

2) PS ST? Yuck. I have the DC version that we could use. No load times. If you need DCs, I'm sure I can scrounge up 1or 2.
