While doing some research on DS Vanessa for the tier chart I was surprised by my findings with Arm Hold (CH 6K>P+G). I wanted to find out how good it was at ring outs and the results I got where bone chilling to say the least. Without further delay here are the results:

One of the first things I realized was that if you start with your back to the edge none of the throws from Arm Hold will RO. I was a little disappointed by this until I saw the options that opened up if both you and your opponent are parallel to the edge of the ring. But of course there are some risks... Enjoy experimenting!

Parallel RO potential of Arm Hold

Hold Facing Front: Both 4 and 6 P+G will RO but 4 has less distance than 6. However it is safer to use 4 when close to the edge as 6 will RO Van first. When dangerously close to edge inputting nothing (5) to release will RO opponent.

Hold Facing Back: P+G will RO from a decent distance and opponent is facing away making most mid rising attacks linear (Leopard Strike doesn't RO). 4P+G, throw escapes and releases will RO Van when close to edge. 6P+G won't ring out but will leave a nasty 50/50 mixup between Ring Out and Damage.... Ouch.

I hope this was helpful! I know I'll be having tons of fun with this :)
