AM/2 Or Genki who the hell made the DC game

This is so confusing and frankly I was disappointed to hear that
Genki "developed" VF3TB for the DC. I don't understand this one bit?
How can they possibly program the game and have it be anything like
the AM/2 version. Did AM/2 do anything and why the hell didn't they
do it? Did they like hand them all the code and say "here in the end
it should be like this" like AM/2 told them what to do and they just
did it. I mean the game is pretty complicated with peoople jumping
this high and other people taking off this much damage and this or
that person being able to float higher. Can someone please clarify
how and why Genki developed the game and how on earth it can be
anything like the AM/2 version? Is developing and programming the
same thing? Any clarification and truth about this would put my
heart to rest because I was very disappointed that Genki did the game
because now I'll always feel like I'm playing some FAKE version.

    AM2 developed, Genki translated

AM2 designed and programmed the game for the arcade. Genki merely "ported" the Model 3 game to the Dreamcast. VF3/tb was written in assembly in the arcades whereas the Dreamcast version was in C/C++.

It's not "fake", but it's not the exact same game either, but that is to be expected with any home conversion.

    Genki and VF3tb...

If I remember correctly, Genki was chosen to do the VF3tb port for the Dreamcast because there are many people on the Genki team who used to be part of AM2 when VF3 was been made for the arcade. They were the ones with the greatest knowledge. The current AM2 people are too busy with Suzuki's Shenmue. This is also why Virtua Striker is being done by Genki.

No big deal really. The game still rocks! ;)

    Cheers,
