    I seen in alot of Japanese and Korean vids, they would do the Single Palm.. [2_][6]+[P], to the Double Palm [2_][4][6]+[P]. Well, evidently, since so many people get hit by it, its guaranteed, but does anyone know the timing, or if there's some sort of extra notation in there to get it to come out, because when I do it, the DBLPM comes out, but it doesn't hit. Is it some sort of extra cancelling/buffering in there somewhere /versus/images/graemlins/confused.gif ? Any help would be appreciated. Thanx.

    i think what u are talking is the finish for the [4][2]+[P]+[G] throw

    the full input for this is:
    [4][2]+[P]+[G] -> [2][3][6]+[P] -> [2_][4][6]+[P]

    you notice the single palm input is changed.. this was added in by sega to give a follow for the stumble trip throw

    the input most japanese players use is:
    [4][2]+[P]+[G] -> [2][3][6]+[P] -> [3][3][4][6]+[P]

    this would be a modifed version of a from crouch double palm.. executed from the crouch dash

    In either case, this follow is not guaranteed at all.. an awesome (see: ridiculous struggler) can get out of the single palm.. and after the single palm the double palm isn't guaranteed unless the opponent can't struggle very well

    I wanted to point out that this information is incorrect, so it needs to be corrected.

    if your single palm does hit after the ST, a properly timed DblPm is guaranteed, always. That's why you see people using it so much, even though you can struggle out of the single palm after the throw.

    The timing is VERY strict, and not many people can do this well (me included). The way I try to do it is after I see the red in the life bar from the single palm hit, I try to be finishing the DblPm command so that the red part of the life guage grows combo-style. Basically, as soon as the single palm comes out, do 3346P or 1146P as fast as possible.

    this single-double palm combo also works after Akira's 2P+K+G and 6P+K+G guard breaks, and after 1P+G if your opponent gets hit by a buffered single palm (easy to avoid by just holding G, but if this happens, it's a special case where akira has the advantage after this single palm is guarded).

    A good way to learn this combo is to first try f, bP+G- P+K- then buffered DblPm. It's basically the same thing, but the timing is a little less strict.

    good luck

    oh, and to practice this combo, just set the free training dummy to "guard" and it'll guard correctly if your DblPm isn't timed right (or just use the combo training in "tactics advice" in PS2 Evo).
