1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. However, you can expect some VF5US specific changes to come soon!

3on3 online team event in which the winning team's players will get a "title" on their VFDC account (similar to last season's individual champions titles). I will update this thread with more information.
    • The December Team event will be a set date and time - December 14-15, 2013 (Everything is completed on the same day)
    • The format for the team matches will be similar to the Japanese VFR format. I am thinking however to make it 2 matches for each player though (2-0 and winning player stay, 1-1 tie both players are eliminated).
    • To integrate the individual monthly qualifiers with the Team-based December event. Participation and placement in those events will be used for seeding and placement.
For those that had participated in the "Team Battle":
    • Your team does not have to be your "season team" that was used in the "Team Battle" experiment.
    • For those that have already played their team battle matches, you will get some "points" for the purpose of seeding/placement for your December team if needed.

Some additional updates on the team tournament event.

Format depend on Number of Teams
Minimum of 3 teams for each region (Europe, North America, etc) are required for an actual tournament. The number of teams participating will dictate the brackets format (round robin or double elimination) and whether there will be a final single elimination format for the team finalists. Those that have watched VFR tournaments or participated in the VF Circuit Majors last year should be familiar with the format.

A personal goal is to get 6 teams for each single team tournament.

    Time and Date Revised
As I am not sure how many people will be participating and to make sure tournaments for each league is not overlapping, I will be separating XBL Team tournaments to Sunday, December 15th and PSN Team tournaments will be on Saturday December 14th.

For Europe it will start at 7 PM London TIme, respectively
For North America it will start at 7 PM Central Time, respectively

    Suggestions on making your Team:

    1. Choose people that you get along with.
    2. Invite people new to the game or not part of the VFDC scene to be part of your team (everyone should be recruiters to VF!)
    3. Don't be shy, PM people and ask them to be part of your team!
    4. Choose people as your teammates that you can depend will show up for the event. There is nothing worse than making last minutes changes.
    5. For those that have signed-up earlier with a "Season Team," you do not have to make a team based on that list.

As mentioned in a group email sent to VF Circuit registrants a while back, their appears to be a lack of interest or active motivation for the team tournament. Depending on actual teams signing up by end of November will determine if this event will still happened or not.
