    Hi everyone,

i am looking at strategies for sobering Shun with Taka.

There are three scenarios I am looking at.

    1) Changing combos to sober - I think the Combo guide currently does a good job of noting opportunities to sacrifice damage for sobering. This one I am OK with

    2) Post round sober from a normal KO - this is simply 33P x 2 or depending on the KO you can on very rare occasions sneak in a 3rd hit.

    3) Standing KO. This is where I am stuck.
I think it could be the following:
    Tachiai P - 33P x 2 or maybe x 3

Am I leaving sober on the table with this standing KO combo? How would I even practice this without being in a live match?

    Any guidance appreciated!

Check out the wiki page for post round sobering: https://virtuafighter.com/wiki/vf5fs-shun-post-round-sobering as well as a tip on how to practice these in Training Mode (hint: set Life Bar to Type B).

    Thanks Myke,

I posted on the sober thread. I think my one is better than what is there for Taka.

Goh one is best I can find.

I wonder if there are any new ones for REVO?

I've been meaning to try 33P 33P 3346P+K for 4 points for a while now but I don't play Shuns very often and I always forget. The one time I tried it it cut to replay shortly before the 3346P+K connected, but I got started a little late so I think it still might be possible. If you've got a better memory than me (very likely), try it out and let me know if it works!

The one sober opportunity I see a lot of Takas miss though is when you KO with the stomp though. If they're in that special floor-KO animation where they're kind of curling up, you can actually start doing some 33Ps to sober a bit. Again not sure if it'd be possible to sneak in a 3346P+K though.
