Good Games Thread

It is hard to be totally accurate when talking about oneself, but I am pretty sure I was not the one moving halfway across the stage. That would be a pretty dumb strategy with JE v JA, not that I haven't used a dumb strategy before.

Ok, now you are misremembering things. I won 4 matches in a row. Then you apparently got frustrated. You did 4 beat knuckle->kicks in one round. Is that really you trying to work on your game and get better? And you were constantly doing the back shuffle and running away. It seems obvious that you got mad at losing so you adopted this "style."

It's a free country so you can play VF anyway you want. If I were in a different mood, I may have stayed around and played and tried to deal with that stuff, but I really was just trying to have some fun matches.

I'm not attacking you personally. You just said that you were sick of people not playing you and accusing you of running away, so I explained why I personally did not want to deal with that stuff. By your own admission, I am not the first guy to respond that way.



Social Ruin, my Jeff is ok under some circumstances but against a decent Lei Fei it is hard. And yeah you were killing my from far away where Jeff just doesn't have an answer that I can think of. Even up close, I couldn't believe how many jabs I totally whiffed. Like I said, vs. Lei Fei everything I do is a shot in the dark.

Against characters I know and with players who are not especially, uh distancy, my jeff is decent. That is a pretty narrow set of circumstances though.

Cozby you are right that Jeff 3k and 66pp a good from distance, but I have trouble with guys who put themselves out of range for either of those.

 

Happy Friend, seriously, everytime we play you backdash across the screen and try to dash up and hit me with one of Lau's strings or whatever character your playing even Jeff. Your easily one of the most defensive players on here and constantly criticize other people for doing the same thing. You've called me a turtle more times than I can remember and I end up chasing you around the ring the entire match. I don't really mind you or anyone playing this way but when you always accuse someone else of doing this it's pretty annoying : /.

Where did i say I didnt lose matches? I fucking suck at the game so me losing to someone isnt exactly something that is surprising. However. I KNOW FOR A FACT had you stayed longer I would have beat you like I did the last time i played you when i beat you 5 straight games. Last time i played you, I picked up on your shit with jeff and came back. (I know this because i have replays of that set and the one before it. I save my matches so i can see what im doing wrong later. However, I find it fucking hilarious that you consistantly come on here and bitch about how someone is playing. Doesnt seem like your living up to your name of being "happy"

Yeah, People dont play me because they call me defensive. but when someone does it to you Your ready to cry about it. Honestly, I think your the biggest crybaby on here when it comes to playstyles because ALL YOU DO when someone doesnt play the way that you like is bitch about it. Can you beat me? Of course you can. Who cant? But you cannot steam roll me anymore like you used to. I would say no offense but that would be lying. When you get hit by this move 4x times in a row, Whos fault is that? YOURS not mine. We have a 3 bar connection and we play in a really good connection. You KNOW how to counter this shit and it was YOUR dumbass that got hit. Then you run away and expect me to run after you? When You run, I will playthe same game. You didnt like it, so you bounced. Your fault your problem. Maybe its YOU who needs to grow as a player....

 

GT, I fear your D and whiff more attacks vs. you than anybody. I prolly do play that way against you, not that it helps a lot.

My perception (which may be wrong) is that I am relatively offense oriented, but will play a more cowardly style vs. people with good D & fuzzy skills etc.

Seriously, nothing personal with all that stuff. I should maybe just hang up Jeff or only play him when I am really serious about wanting to patiently learn and grow and shit.

It's just that Jeff is fun and I feel like I have played Lau so much and he is a powerhouse and people have to have pretty good defense just to hang with Lau at all. I have more competitive fights with Jeff, but the flipside is that there is shit that just gets me frustrated. So anyway, it prolly woulda been best if I didn't elaborate on why I left, but oh well.

I don't know why my connection dropped, but my internet didn't work for a few minutes then it was laggy the rest the evening.

On a different note, does everyone play sarah? I get tired of playing so much sarah.

ggs to mista tee. If sometimes i don't accept invites it's cause 25% of my opponents seem to be sarah nowadays. But as alway, good sarah. Nice patience.

Gg’S Social. It’s ok. You got stronger. If anything I was too patient. I let you hit me out of FL too much. But keep in mind there are like 50% lei fei players or more since VF5online started.

Oh, and on that note. BOOOO VFDC members who avoid playing me "every time" I'm on. Seriously. My skills have DROPED cause so few people want to play me. Which sucks because I rather play vf then any other game. I’m not asking for a game invite every time you see me but once in a blue moon would be nice. GGs to Lucky GT in SF4 the last few days were fun.

 

Looks like it's a more common occurance recently, i've been dropped from some good games recently and even when we're both in the middle of a move (Like after a clash) it just freezes, dose 1 more frame then ends.

 

I'll send you an invite next time, and send me one anytime.

My shun has gotten strong enough to win some here and there, but not consistently quite yet, since I only play a little each weekend. (in other words if i'm a 1 dimensional for the first 5-6 games bear with me, it takes a little bit before I can get comfortable again, remember my set ups, and hten open up to new ones.)

But i'll be more than happy to play vs. you

Hey I had a reply to this yesterday, but it didnt go through right for some reason and I posted it again and it had my reply up twice but both of them are gone.

Basically what I had said was:

What's good about VF is that the game doesn't work like that.
Watch Chibita and x-copy everything his Lion does, and get owned. The reason is because we're not Chibita and so our decision making and choices would not be the same as his, it would lack congruency because we're not him and not in his shoes, it would be ours. VF is a lil more free form and personal than other fighting games where you can x-copy.

You use the moves and make decisions and choices based on who you are. You can tell when someone is copying some stuff sometimes because it's not congruent anymore.

Anyway this was something that I really like about 3d fighters in general too. it seems to be like this. But it's on a larger scale as far as VF is concerned imo.

I had so much freedom in fighting, while playing VF it's crazy man.

Good games to you VFnumbers. You have a nice lei fei man. I think out of everyone I havent played before, I was looking forward to fighting you the most. I heard alot of good things about you and come to find out they were true. Good stuff man. I had alot of fun. I actually like fighting people who know how to properly play lei fei. Though its annoying as hell, I dont feel quite as scrubby when i win a few lol. Anyway, We should play again sometime. Thanks for the matches man!
