To me that shit is foolishness because i play to win and to get better. Honesty if you cut VF on to joke around then you obviously should just leave it alone lol!

You know something, our gaming philosophy is a huge contrast from each other.

Maybe you might be thinking that if someone is on to joke around, that they aren't trying to win or improve, when I don't think they oppose each other.

I like to enjoy myself when playing, otherwise I'll just go do or play something else. If I'm winning in a fighter, and not enjoying myself, I'll just end the session right there and go do something else. If I'm getting beat on, it's fun to actually try to solve and figure out the problem, if I already know the answer to the problem, I try to find another creative solution I haven't thought of or used before.

I've had good games with Weiand, Shaka Zulu, Khan Rane, and a bunch of others.

I played attourney for hire and there was like zero lag which was awesome. It shoulda been Jeff vs. Jeff tho.

This has to be one of the best statements I've seen on this board. It shows why Adam is so good at this game.

I often give my opponent too much credit... I start out thinking they *must* know my core set-ups, so I'll start up with the option to my attack plan. But, oops, the original is actually what would have worked and now they've blocked or evaded the option I used. So often, it's best to keep it simple.

If you can't handle someone's style of play, shouldn't you be trying to adapt? I thought you wanted to "play to win and to get better"

    I must be crazy.

Not to put Overfiend on the spot but its the same deal with alot of people. There aren't any invincible strategies in this game. You gotta keep a cool head, know your options, play smart and react properly. A better understanding of the game will make you more comfortable. Playing heated can cause you to lose focus and kill your reaction time.

GG's to Texas Lion / Juno??? hehe I can never tell who is who. Pretty sure it was Texas though. Awesome Lion man... hope to get schooled some more!

GG's to Denkai... *sigh* Another beat down from U.S.A's only Conqueror. I just can never see those throws coming or reach you with my attacks. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cry.gif

oh almost forgot, GG's to BorisOfWales(I think that's how you spell it)

GG's to anyone else that I may have forgotten.

JHow77: My xbox broke so I bought a new one and I get free live under a new account, so I'm playing under Jun0syntH. Something like that. I'm not playing rank seriously since I only have free live for another 2 or 3 weeks so I'm a kyu right now, but if you want to get in some games let me know. Can't wait to see your Shun in action. You always have new tricks up your sleeves. And I'll get live on my orig. account soon then I'll be on rank again.

GG's to everyone I played esp. Konjou with his Kage. It's been a long time man. Playing top players like yourself forces you to play a lot faster and think a lot more and it just raises up your whole game. It's really exhausting mentally since you have to bring your A+++ game but it's that brain workout that helps one improve. So thanks for the games, loved going back and forth with you. Looking forward to another session.

Btw, you TE like 75% of my throws man. I don't know how you do that online. I'm impressed. I missed like three tft that I knew were coming myself that just didn't register. Very fast movement also. Playing fast players like you makes me play faster myself which I like. And yeah, I'm texas lion. Juno play Lei. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

haahahaha wow people, maybe I said too much. Social you got it right man. I just didn't want to play at my full level. That’s what I was trying to say just didn't know how. Plus I have been having one of the best weeks ever so everything is stupid funny to me.
And Slide said it perfectly. Why can't I play around?? in many fighting games people find some really neat and useful stuff from just fooling around. your aren't going to learn everything there is to know from playing so serious all the time. there are other solutions out there. Guaran”tee”d.

Sorry I should have clarified. I meant when I'm getting up. I truly enjoy mixing it up - rolling back, lying still, high, low, etc, and seem to have a very high percentage in landing rising kicks, even against the great ones. This is something I've always tried to perfect ever since VF3. Oh and my favorite, just mashing P to get up in place to avoid pounces. =)

Damn...big shoutout to GentlemenThief: Man was hitting every which way. I was shocked I managed to give as good as I took and brother...I was taking a LOT. Don't forget the ever useful 9 P+K+G unique shun dodge which is what I see you do mostly on wake up. From time to time you mix it up but by far that is the move you do the most on wake-up. For good reason though for its pretty handy on wake up

SilentNephilim, you get mad props for those matches!!! It seemed as if all I fought were Aois, but you and Paper Lion were great... Movements were fluid, setups were good too. I need to brush up on my throw escapes still...

ggs to MOBSSUPREME, and KIYOMO (great evades with Lau)...

The 2p will stop everything he does once the initial move to start the string is blocked. Besides Beat K dash back which is punishable (yes even if you block the K use mid kick) he doesn't have anything to prevent the player from interrupting his strings with low punch..See a mid K then low P see a mid P then low punch if Jacky is at close range to you then theirs nothing he can do to stop the 2p besides dodging or blocking he cannot backdash away from it.
    </div></div>

Denkai speaks the truth, but I just want to throw in the counter (in case anyone were curious) to opponents fishing out Jacky's follow-ups:

    6p, backdash p+k to beat the 2p that's anticipating your follow-up..

Jerky, if you're ever on XBL again, add me to your friend list so we might have a better chance of hooking up. I sent you a req 2 or 3 days ago.

Denkai showed me that that doesn't work on characters like Jeffry, the 2P hits anyway.

Also I've found that you can get 2P's to whiff up for Jacky if you're in open stance(which is what I try to stay in most of the time).

Good stuff from Shao, Yupa, Konjou, and Chibiaya. One thing though: Chibiaya - You got a good Jacky, sometimes the tactics annoy me to no end but that's what he's there for. You don't need to be doing that Darthminion stomping bullshit. Let the scrubs do that shit man because someone WILL put a foot up your ass if continues. I already had to do it about two or three times. I don't mind the dancing as much but there's no call for that other bullshit.

Anyway...Yupa we had some real close matches, and they were all uphill battles for me -_-

Shao: Sorry we didn't fight more but Live man...:man:

Konjou: Was that what box-stepping looks like? I can't do that mess with a purpose yet. Hell, I can't even defend myself properly against you.

GG's to Marly Jay - Nice Eileen you got but the Abare Tatics is your main downfall at at points. I overplayed you a little too much an you made on it a little. The last 2 games you started dumbing down your play and i was'nt feeling it with all due respect.
I had fun while it lasted though GG's.

@Konjou - GG's and sorry for me leaving early and abruptly My girl came in riffing on me and it got kinda bad. I still wanna finish up so when your on im going to send you a invite.

I do that when i get frustrated... sorry. I really dont see myself improving in this game and its frustrating me. It isnt really toward my opponent. Its more toward myself because I dont know what else to do to get better at this game. My apologizes
